This interactive course contains several modules: an introduction about different ecological gardening methods, the specificities of school gardens, the concrete steps on how to set-up different forms of school gardens, practical work in the classroom or outside. The aim of this course is to enable teachers to set-up gardens that fit their particular contexts and that respond to their pedagogical needs. Indeed, a school garden that is well planned and integrated in the school program is a great tool for experimenting and discussing all aspects of a sustainable food system.
REDD is training teachers in French speaking Switzerland and is following the implementation of gardens in different schools.
